Our annual remembrance day poppy run took us to the Neath and Swansea valley and the village of Seven Sisters. Starting from our usual location in Llantrisant on a bright chilly damp November Sunday seven cars headed off, towards Neath and a welcoming hot cuppa. We then headed the short 20 minutes up to Seven Sisters where we laid two remembrance crosses at the village cenotaph before a short walk up to the site of the old Colliery. Taking a short drive back for lunch at The Graydon. By this time the weather was turning for the worst but warm and friendly welcome was received from the staff. The journey home through torrential rain was one that will be remembered for a while. However our thoughts are with those that have fought and lost past and present.
